Confuddled by some of the things people say about GFX?
Well look below:
- Render - A picture with no background, or a single colour background.
- Stock - A picture often with real life subjects used as part of a sig
- C4D - Technically an abstract 3D shape created in the program Cinema4D but can refer to any abstract or 3D image
- Vector - A simple cartoon style image that has a clean edged style where no pixelation occurs when resizing
- Raster - The opposite of vector
- BG - Abbreviation for background
- Monochrome - A picture coloured in greyscale or black&white
- Duotone - A picture coloured in only 2 colours
- Feathering - Adding a fading efect or smoothing effect when cutting or
blending
- Gradient - A smooth transition of one or more colours to another
- Res - In the case of "Lo-Res" or "Hi-Res" refers to the quality of resolution of the image
- CnC or C&C or C and C - Comments/Compliments and Criticism when on a sig.
- HDD - Hand Drawn Doll

seeing as it's a sticky, you can't bump, so....
Layer: a part of the graphic that can be edited without the rest of the graphic being affected, usually raised above the rest of it.
