When Posting In A Debate/Discussions Thread, You Need To Post Your Own Feelings, And Your Own Views And Reasons About The Issue.

Theres No Point Quoting Someone And Saying 'I Agree' As Thats Just Spamming To Be Honhest, This Section Is For People Who Want A Propper Talk About Something More Serious, If You Wanna Quote And Post 1 Or 2 Words, Visit The Forum Game Section

Just Saying So This Section Gets Used Well And Properly

Thank you for mentioning that Joey.

I have noticed a couple of people who have done just that, and have started to ask them to post their reasoning behind their comment of "I agree" etc.

The debates section is to have debates. If you agree with someone, then at least state why you agree with them. Likewise, the same applies if you disagree.

Also, to point out, there is no bad feelings against anyone who voices an opinion that differs from the majority. This is the whole point of a debate.
Yes, we may come back with a counter arguement, but this is not a retalliation, but more of trying to prove our own thoughts and opinions. You then get the chance to either come back with your side of the debate again, should you so wish.

If you do not know much about the debate in process, then you can either read up on that topic, and then join in, or, to put it bluntly, stay out of it.

I know that I would prefer to have an adult debate/discussion regarding the important topics which surround us, and for most of the time, I am getting that, and I find it quite intellectually stimulating. This is ruined when people do not put across their own personal views and opinions.

Anyway, little rant over.

Can I please remind people about this when posting,

Recently there have been some people posting a point, without giving a reason as to why they think this.

You dont have to write anything really long, but if your making a point in this section, make sure you remember to say why you think that.

Cheers,

Seeing as this is a sticky, I can't bump it, so here we go.
I agree.

Nah, but seriously, some people are seeming to think that just because someone does come back with another point, it's aggressive and should be reported. That's not the case. This forum IS for CIVIL arguments.

Also, when you do post a reason, make it relevant, not going off into another topic just so you have a "reason."
Also, i don't think you should be allowed to say "That's my opinion." Because this forum is about challenging opinions, and saying that kinda means you don't want it challenged. If you want to voice your opinion without being challenged, make a blog, don't post in the DEBATES section.
Thanks for your time.
