£5 on Italy at odds of 2.6I have £5 on Italy to beat France tonight
At odds of 2.6
If people are confused by decimal odds thats:
2.6 x £5 (my bet)
Profit: £13 if they win

That's good odds, what betting service was offering them odds? Considering Italy and France are evenly matched, i'd of thought evens would of been the best price offered, I can't see any bookmaker offering such generous odds, all the serious punters would of cleared them out.

If that's the case Betfair would of been cleaned out by professional gamblers I can assure you, these people stake 100s of thousands on odds like that. Has a business I very much betfair would risk losing such amounts to the big boys..It's like giving odds of 2/1 or 3/1 for each horse in a 2 horse race,it wouldn't be financialy viable to give such generous odds.

You don't know how Betfair works do you?
It's an exchange site. Betfair doesn't place or hold any bets. It's for people to bet against each other.
Betfair just takes %5 of any winnings.

I do now, and it's clearer why they can offer better odds than the other bookies, maybe it wouldbe better getting virtual betting forum odds from there, thanks for the tip and well done on your winnings.
