By people, you actually mean the US Government.
The Rewards For Justice Program, United States Department of State, is offering a reward of up to $25 million for information leading directly to the apprehension or conviction of Usama Bin Laden. An additional $2 million is being offered through a program developed and funded by the Airline Pilots Association and the Air Transport Association. Source: FBI Most Wanted Terrorist

It is high, but then again, they have to make it high enough to warrant anyone close to Usama Bin Laden to take the risk and inform the US authorities of his whereabouts.
Also, take into consideration, he is probably the most wanted person on the planet.

Then again, on the Most wanted terrorists, there is AYMAN AL-ZAWAHIRI, whose capture is also attracting a reward of up to $25 million Source

The other terrorists are attracting an average of $5 million each.

To be fair, money in the form of a reward usually helps the capture of fugitives, as it appeals to peoples greed. Just think, if you knew where he was, and knew you could get $25 million, would you do it? It is a life changing amount, and one which, in the right circumstances, not many people will turn down, should they have the information.

The problem is, the people close to Usama, will not reveal his whereabouts, as they are as fanatical as he is, and believe in the cause they are fighting for, which is the murder of innocents.

Also with thats sort of money, you're pretty much guaranteed anonymity as you could just 'fade away' never to be seen again.

I totally agree, although it is not them that are directly killing innocent people. They are the "ringleaders" who plan the atrocities.
That means that, although they do not get their hands dirty, they are the source of the attacks, and therfore need to be stopped.

I don't think he is worth it, yeah, the money is worth the LIVES, but not him.

You have lost me. You state that you do not think he is worth it, but the money is worth the lives.

If the money is worth the lives it saves, then it is worth it for his capture, which in turn, means that he is worth the money for his apprehension or conviction.
One surprising thing to note though, on the FBI's most wanted terrorist page about him.
It mentions he is wanted for the following:
MURDER OF U.S. NATIONALS OUTSIDE THE UNITED STATES; CONSPIRACY TO MURDER U.S. NATIONALS OUTSIDE THE UNITED STATES; ATTACK ON A FEDERAL FACILITY RESULTING IN DEATH

The surprising thing to note, is the lack of any mention of the 9/11 attack.
If Usama Bin Laden was behind the attack, as we have all been led to believe, then why is it not mentioned, to include "MURDER OF U.S. NATIONALS INSIDE THE UNITED STATES; CONSPIRACY TO MURDER U.S. NATIONALS INSIDE THE UNITED STATES;" as the alleged attacks took place in the USA.

It does state "An additional $2 million is being offered through a program developed and funded by the Airline Pilots Association and the Air Transport Association." but once again, no mention of 9/11.
You would have thought, with such a large scale attack on US soil, that it would be mentioned

I know Bin Laden is a terrorist an all that. But I believe when Jesus died on the cross he died as much for me as for Bin Laden. I don't think it's right for people to offer such a high ransom for he is (as Hammers 10 said) human. Thanks

I reckon Bin laden is dead. if not, i think the u.s. goverment has vital info about him. the presidents do tend to hide things  like aliens and stuff...
