Good win there for Tottenham! It makes a change, none of the 'big four' winning a trophy.
And I dont agree with you Steve_Posh. Arsenal are favourites to win the Premiership, and Chelsea still have a decent chance. Liverpool and Chelsea can still win the Champions League. Chelsea can still win the FA Cup.

In the football rulebook, it does not state anywhere that the referee has to wait until the end of an attack before ending a game (or a half).
Also, 30 seconds over the time added on had been played, so he was actually correct in blowing the whistle.
You will even find that when he actually started to blow the first of the 3 quick whistles signalling full time, the ball was up in the air, causing no threat to the goal whatsoever.
Mark Halsey got every single thing right in an important game (including the penalty) and deserves alot of praise.
Most referees bottle giving penalty decisions like that on big occasion so full marks to Mark for going for what he believed was the right decision.

He doesn't have to. The football rulebook states that the referee can blow his whistle any time after the stoppage time has ended.
And Andy, the football rulebook does not say that referees should blow their whistle when attacks end. When he blew his whistle, the ball was up in the air anyway, causing no danger.
Chelsea didn't listen to the whistle and carried on playing and then hit the post.

Exactly Ryan+B, thought the ref had a good game
Even if the ref had played on as we all saw, Chelsea hit the post with that final attack... So would have made no difference anyway.
Still, I'm pleased with the result of course

Yep, he was 1 on 1 but he hit the post and it bounced out and robinson was about to grab it.
So yeh, Chelsea can't really complain.
