Do Bands take the fans for granted?I recently went to a Kaiser Chiefs gig and I was outraged at the price of their merchandise. £18.99 for a T-shirt!!  When it probably only costs about £3 each to make them. Also, if you, say, live in the north of Scotland and a band that you like and really want to see only play one show, say, in Glasgow, you then have to travel a long distance just to get to the show! Even thought there are plenty of other arenas to play, why not play 3 or 4 in different places? opinions?

I see what you mean 
I went to a gig(Bon jovi)and i went up to get a t-shirt,and all it had was a smiley face on it  And it was around €50 
So i didnt buy it
And this t-shirt only looked cheap,only bon jovi fans would now i was a bon jovi t-shirt.
But,i dont think its the band that makes up the prices of them,and also,people actually pay those sort of prices for some reason 
So,they wont stop as people are still buying them
And im sure it only cost them a few pound to make

Tottally agree, never been to a gig, but even the ticket prices are high.
My mates recently went to a Wobats gig and they havn't quit moaning about the prices, about time this was sorted 
Should be free, as our support is free, and where would they be without the fans? Probably in some dingey backstreet pub in holland XD

True,but if they didnt charge everyone would go,and not just the real fans 
Then the real true fans wouldnt get to go to any of there gigs as tickets would fly if there free

I totally agree. Also, what really annoys me is when you're at a gig, and all or some of the members of the band are drunk. It can be funny and sometimes it doesn't affect the playing, perhaps the lyrics are a bit slurred or so, but other times it completely ruins the gig and you've paid whatever price to see them and you come out thinking "Did I really pay £30 to see that?" and it may put you off the band.

i think the entry fee is fine really but its the merchandise that is very testing its just rediculous how pricey there getting

Hey i went to the kaiser cheifs on 12th december 2007 earls court it was ammmmmmmaaaazzzzinnnng did you like it?
and yeh I bought a t-shirt it was £22 whoa that cost alot it is wrong at the most £10 if you think about it
