The best way to geta girls to like you (as i'm a girl i know!) is to
1) act confident (even if you're kind of shy!) (but not cocky)
2) be nice to her, show that you're taking an interest
3) girls want to be shown that a boy cares about her (preferably more than things like football!!) - show her that you care about her, spend time with her
4) make an effort with your appearence (some girls do care about appearences - although most girls think personality is more important, she will probabl notice that your making an effort and might pick up why)
5) be yourself - (this is the most important! tehe)
i would recomend maybe getting to know her a bit fist before asking her out.. although not too much as then she might see you just as friends and won't want to break that relationship by going out (as these things can end in tears)

Just tell her you like her, if she dosn't want to take it that far and just friends, then fine keep it like that, it's not going to be the end of the world, believe me, I know.
