I won't be applying, I just don't think I have time. Even though I'm logged into the forum every day at the moment, I'd just rather not have the responsibility of moderator. I won't be able to do the job by the time October comes anyway because of the start of term.

I think it's important for people who are thinking of applying, to think ahead

I think a lot of people will apply with the view that they have the whole summer ahead of them, but then when September comes there will be some resignations because of people going back to school or starting sixth form etc...

The thing is, as fizzy as already stated. Who ever applies need to look ahead to see if they can realy give the commitment that would be needed.. A lot of members will apply who although they are active and fancy the role, won't have the commitment needed to fullfill the possition... Alot has we have already seen time and time again, tend to get the role and then tail off and fall short of what's expected of them... Hence the applications being re-opened...

It's a demanding role and this should be realised when applying, rather than just wanted the title..

I don't think I have the responsibility to become an admin.

I doubt I will become a mod either though

ive applied and yeah the problem is most people will just not have the time again once summer is over especially in gcse year they always resign.

i have all the time in the world so ill be on all the time if i get it

Yes, I know I'm in a very importent GCSE year but I always finish most of my coursework in the lessons or during lunch so I'll have the time after school to be a moderator.

I think these big changes will be very good for everyone,With new admins & moderators that will hopefully be very active the waiting should stop and more will be be done

wii: When you start year 11, you will get SO MUCH MORE coursework than year 10, and if you are going to even manage to do it all properly, you will need all the time you can! If you get picked as a mod, a month or two in, you will realise it was a bad idea, and that you should of waited, as they are much more important!

And yeah, the applications look good so far, apart from Adam's one for admin, as he cant use any proper punctuation by the looks of it, same with bigcookie.

Like it has been said many times in this thread, think before you apply. The title of being a mod or admin, is no good, if you arent going to do it properly, and you will just look silly, and get a bad reputation for being a lazy/bad mod if you get it, without thinking you have the time etc!

So yeah, my advice, think, and make sure you have the time before applying! - There will always be a next time, when more positions become available, so you can always wait until another time

YXZ, before I processed my appilcation I spent 30 minutes thinking about if I could handle it and If I finish my coursework in lessons and during break & lunch break then I will really be able to handle being a moderator.

Thank you YXZ I agree ALL moderators and admins will need to orginise their lifes so they can fit in all school work i.e coursework along with soical lifes and family lifes. I am sure if the moderators/admins can do that then they will do a fancastic job

ryberto, You really do not know how hard working I really am plus I'll will have weekends to complete coursework.

I know I will be able to handle it.

I know the amount will be very high, In French & English alone I've got 2 A3 pages of coursework to complete for christmas but I am getting it done in stages & It's been working wonders for me so far.

Having just read the admin applications, I have to admit 'some' members wouldn't have any chance of becoming admin. I have never read such drivel in all my life

It's clear they are only doing it for the title of admin, rather than what they could do for the future of the forum..... The same also could be said for 'some' of the mod apps...

Let's just say I hope they don't apply for job vacancies with such rubbish on their applications lol.

Not scamming it was spamming I think. I was the 26th member so don't you think there would be some downfalls to me! If you only post about 1,000 posts then thats fine mostly people will think of you is good but if you post like 10,000 posts people tend to think back at what there did bad and not good. For me thats quite annoying! So if I become a mod or admin it will hopefully turn the image around so I can be helpful.

All these changes taking place is a huge step and something Joey, and Eddie, have given a lot of thought to.. I would of thought also they have given great thought to who they would like to see fill all the possitions that are open to applications, and as such I would go as far to say they have already decided who is going to fill them, regardless of who thinks who will get what role.

But I suppose it still don't stop everyone talking about it, and getting excited.. But I very much think Joey, and Eddie, would of already discussed who would get what role..
