I think you can send them in in just about anything like:
The ones you said
Boxes
Bags
Strong envelopes

you can send them in those padded envelopes to keep them safe

In the past when I've needed to send in a big package of lots of swaps, I've wrapped the main package in plastic bags! Just turn Tesco bags for whatever inside out so the logos don't stand out as much, do about 3 layers so you can't see the stuff inside, sellotape down any excess around the edges so the swaps stay together all compact, and sellotape pieces of paper to the front and write address on.
Now that's recycling

I only post in plastic bags to SwapitShop, I don't package individual swaps like that.

Sorry for double post, forgot
Ok go on this website )already on the blue mailing bags page)- http://www.polybags.co.uk/index_scroll.htm?main=fm_samp.htm
then write down the code of what you want then fill in this form using the code provided on this page - http://www.polybags.co.uk/index_scroll.htm?main=fm_samp.htm
they have made it so you can only order 1 at a time but you can order a few i think.

Think its been said, but bin bags.
If I am out of everything, I sometimes use these.. if you put lots of individual swaps inside a bin bag, then like wrap it up, and use parcel tape to tape it together, you get one big package of swaps .
You would need to stick on self adhesive labels to write the address on though!
You could also use parcel paper... if you have a 'Bookers' near you, they sell it for 50p a roll - I have bout 5 or 6 rolls of it in my cupboard! - Normally £1 shops sell it as well.

Yeah pretty much what I do ^^
