The DiplomaThe Diploma is a new qualification for 14 to 19 year olds and offers a mix of classroom learning and hands-on experience - all designed to prepare you for wherever you want to go in life. When it starts in september there will be 5 subjects:
Construction and the Built Environment, Creative and Media, Engineering, Information Technology and Society, Health and Development.
The Diploma in IT will look at how organisations work and the role technology can play. You will learn what different people in the industry do – as well as how to manage projects, design new business solutions, develop websites, manage networks and deliver IT support. You will also explore the use of technology in business, and learn how to create digital media solutions to meet a customer’s business requirements.
Students taking a Diploma in IT will develop the range of skills and knowledge to succeed at college, university or employment, as well getting an insight into the wide range of career and further study options available.
Diploma students will also develop a good standard of English, Maths and ICT and vital skills like teamwork and self-management.
