Help?!Hi, I've been told to retake a physics exam beacuse I didn't get A*, I got a B. My target grade is A*. My teacher was aggressive towards me, telling me that I will do it, even though I told him I'm not because a B is not a fail grade and I'm happy with it. (At the end of the day, if that one B means the slightest difference between an A* and an A, I'm not going to be completely distraught that I got an A.) He then had the audacity to shout at me telling me I will retake the exam over and over again until I do get A*. So I'm not sure what to do. I have a few options;
1) I do the exam properly, and revise well, so I do get A*.
2) I do the exam, but deliberatly get some wrong so that I don't get A*, but an A ot B or something.
3) I do the exam, but completly mess it up on purpose so I get a G or U.
4) I go to the exam, but just sit there and leave the paper blank.
5) I just don't turn up.
What do you think about it and what would you do?

Oh, and they take the highest mark of the two tests. So if I get a C or something in this one if I do it, they'll take the B.

First off he shouldn't have spoken to you in such an agressive way, unless you said anything agressive back to provoke that behaviour. I also don't think they can make you take another exam, because as you said you haven't failed. Just a thought though - could it be that you haven't got a high enough grade to justify doing further 'higher tier' papers perhaps?
I would go to a head of year, student rep if you have them, or headteacher and explain why you're not happy.
