KNIFE CRIMES

what does everyone think about the knife crimes and the stabbings that has been taking place over this past week, according to the news that the stabbing rating and teenagers that carry those weapons has shot up in britten there are more kids, teenagers, and adults being stabbed than ever.i think it's about time the goverment and our prime minister as done something about these crimes that is taking place so far there has been 18 teenagers have been knifed to death on london's streets, police have arrested 1,200 people and seized 528 knives during a six-week crackdown sparked by the growing number of teenage stabbings.i think more should be done to stop this happening as everyone is going to be scared to go out just in case it happens to you or them anyone got any thoughts on this issue if so then let us all know about this!

you ain't wrong there jack but bringing back capital punishment that will never happen not like it was in my day age anyway, when we did have that and all of a sudden as the years go by and bingo it got abollished all because the youngsters was complaing about the corporal punishment because they didn't like the idea of going through what we went through in our younger age!
KCLiVeS

How old are you to have known capital punishemnt?
BreakDancer

old enough to know when capital punishment was out,how old are you jack it seems that you can remember when capital punishment was out!
KCLiVeS

It was abolished in 1965 :\

ok what about the corporal punishment then do you think this should be re-enstated back to teach these teenagers a lesson not to hurt or kill others knowing that thgey will be caught and delt with in a serious matter!

I saw someone suggest this idea somewhere online recently:

Basically high school age kids should be given weekly vouchers for attending school that they can exchange for things, like music/dance lessons or sports clubs or things that will be appealing to them. Regular searches should take place and if weapons are found then those kids will automatically not receive their vouchers for two weeks. The person who put forth this idea thought it would make kids less inclined to carry knives etc because they would miss having the vouchers to spend.

But why should there be a need to spend yet more money on these children? It's similar to EMA, which I also disagree with.

And breakdancer, by corporal punishment I assume you mean caning etc. - I agree that that should also be re-introduced.

My dad said recently that national service would be a good idea, except I don't think so. I mean I for one could definately not cope lol.

I think what they were implying is that the vouchers would be for all high school children, not just the ones who are behaving badly.

It wouldn't be similar to the EMA because that's not for the badly behaved, it's for kids from low income families. I don't agree with the EMA bonuses they get because at my sixth form people got £100 bonuses at the end of each term for attending!! I found that most people who got the EMA seemed pretty well off anyway which annoyed me.

I think schools should be allowed to hit kids again lol, teachers have no power these days and I think this would bring it back.

yep that's what i mean and i think those who carry knifes should either think about the consequences before thinking about using it,and those who actually wound and kill should either do a long stretch behind bars or do national service to teach them a big lesson!

I think that something similar to national service but just for the ones with knives would be good, because if it was just for everyone then the people who do nothing wrong would feel they were being unfairly punished and then may start doing things as they may think that if they are going to get punished anyway they may as well do something to deserve it.

I used to have that attitude when I was younger and got blamed for something I didn't do, and normally I would cause more damage making it fair than what I got blamed for in the first place.

i phoned by girlfiends uncle and run this idea past him about the national service and he said it wouldn't work simple reason is that even though they went through that or done time like getting life they would still knife someone either with a gang or it's drug related so either way it's like a big circle that's never ending!
