Parallel UniverseI think they're real, but what are you views on Parallel Universes?
Do you think there is another one of you in there aswell...
??????
Thanks.
I'm intrested to see other peoples thoughts on this.

the theory is there are an infinite amount of parralel universes and they are based on for every decision or action you make there are alternatives that in a parralel universe are played out whether its small thing like your personality or other things or huge things like your mother and father deciding not to have you or your grandad dying in the war so you never exist.
so in some parralels they may be almost identical but in others the germans could have won the war or the dinosaurs hadnt have been wiped out or certain cures or viruses may have not been found or anything.
so in actual fact anything is possible in an alternate reality

That pretty much sums them up...

So ryberto, you do think they're real?

well why not theres no evidence to show this is the only universe and the theory makes sense although that link really doesnt present the facts very well but why not its totally possible.

I do beleive in them aswell..
But there is no proof that they exist at all, but like you say, there is no proof that says there isn't.
Just think though, by me posting this thread and you replying, something has changed in a different universe =P

yeah its kinda wierd but its totally plausable unlike some theories it makes total sense although there is no evidence that still shows its very possible that there are but unless you could phase out of this one into another one then youll never know and the chances of actually finding one similar to ours is astronomical.

This is why I like doctor who so much =D
Like that episode 3 weeks back, where from one choice, turning left/right the whole world changed!

I'm not so sure on my oppinion, but if I were to belive in them, I wouldn't beleive of universes where there are multiple versions of you like ryberto said, but instead a completely unique makeup of the universe.

i dont really like doctor who, in comparrison to other big sci fi series they just copy but without the actual science explained its made very simple but i suppose its easier for some people to grasp as its aimed for kids too so they just give the most basic of explanations which is ok but i prefer the more realistic ones

I don't really believe in parallel universes, but that there could be other universes which are similar to us as in the creatures on them but maybe some haven't advanced as much as us and some much more advanced, but not the same people or anything or same names for anything etc.

my point was that if they are true there are an infinite amount and therefore somemay be almost identical but some would be totally different with certain evolutions or occurances in space like super novas and the fact there are supposed to be exotic particles in them which opens up possibilites of totally new laws of physics which would mean everything whould be different.
the theory of infinite ones would provide a base that would allow us to say that there would be some with tiny differences but some where nothing is the same.
to me its a very good theory and makes sense and is totally scientifically possible but it just cant be provved without shifting into another one somehow.

I believe in a lot of things, heaven/hell, god, aliens, ghosts but parallel universes are a bridge to far.
We do'nt know what's out there but surely it's not a different version of our planets and our solar system.

Weird, almost all the things you named I dont beleive in.
And the one thing you said you didnt beleive in, I do.
