Who loves the band Babyshambles?

I love their song Delivery and can't wait to get their album.

But you know what annoys me?

Pete Doherty (babyshambles frontman) repetadly taking drugs, going to rehab, coming out, taking more drugs ,getting arrested etc.

Drugs are wrecking his music.

He's also making it look "cool" to his younger fans to take drugs.

He needs to sort himself out.

He's a very bad influence to young people.

I think music companies should refuse to produce music for people who are a bad influence like he is. Advertising and film industries also should not sign up anybody who has had a drugs or drink past, unless they've gone to rehab and have pulled through successfully.

People with drink and drugs problems shouldn't be shunted aside though and just labelled as junkies or alchoholics and not helped. I can't imagine many people choose to take that path, it just happens and they get sucked in.

Shotters nation is pure genius and the libertines were brilliant. I think he is an extremely talented man and is no way as bad as some others. He is trying to get off the drugs and it isn't neccessarily his fault that he started taking them.
An interesting fact if you wanted to know is that he got all As and A*s in his GCSEs and did 4 a levels and got all As! Genius! Please give me some karma for that interesting fact i have none

He was a good musician in his own right in his Libertines days.
But then when the drugs got heavier, he was only getting publicity for the drugs (and Kate Moss).
So the fame he created from before has been trashed because now he'll always been known as "Pete from Babyshambles the drug addict who dated Kate Moss"
Unlucky really.

Its Illegal, I Think People Are Forgetting.

I Think For Young Kids Who Like His Music He Is A Terrible Influence.

People Look Up To Most Musicians And Think Of Them As 'Role Models' As They Are Someone To Look Up To. But The Example Pete Is Seetting Isn't Right And Because He's Famous People Will Think It Is 'Cool' Which Obviously Isn't Right.

And I Agree With Fizzy, They Should Be Shunted Aside Because THey Clearly Need Help.

even if young kids like his music they wouldnt have a clue about the drugs if the media didnt put pictures in every magazine of him taking drugs etc.

Well Pete Doherty is only famous because he is a junkie.
If he wasnt on drugs he wouldnt be in the press half as much as what he is now.

Maybe if he didnt act so stupid with this drugs thing then people would know him for his music.

Don't think drug abusers deserve sympathy, they shouldn;t have started in the first place.

Yup. I agree he's a Junkie... And again, i agree that drugs mess up your life, and to be honest, i hate people who do them...

It shows that they are silly as they obviously don't know what they can do to themselves. Silly people.

I pretty much worship the Libertines (not as much as the Manics) and they were genius. I think Pete just went down the road that you can go down, and not the good road either. I went to see them live [Babyshambles]a few years ago and he wasa shambles. it completely ruined it. However, their new album is genius (I use that word a lot, don't I) and Pete is finally on his way to recovery.
