HERE IS AN EMAIL I RECEIVED FROM SWAPITS

We are changing the way Swap Points work in order to give you
more flexibility when choosing a value to swap your items for.

Currently, we say that each Swap Point equals roughly £1.00. If
an item was worth roughly £10.00 it would be listed for 10 Swap
Points.

We are going to change this so that the rough value of each Swap
Point is equal to 1p. This will allow you to list items for a
more exact value. You will be able to list an item for 950 Swap
Points if it is roughly worth about £9.50.

The overall value of the Swap Points you have isn't going to be
affected in any way and you don't have to do anything, we are
going to make all the changes.

In order to do this, we will adjust everybody's Swap Points and
every item's Swap Point Value on Monday 19th May 2008.

If you have 9 Swap Points before we make the adjustment, you will
have 900 points after it.

If an item is available for 9 Swap Points before we make the
adjustment, it will be 900 Swap Points after it.

In order to make the change, we will turn the site off for about
an hour on the afternoon of Monday 19th May 2008. When the site
returns, all of the Swap Points will be updated and any future
swaps you list must take into account the new Swap Point value.

We'll put reminders on the site and on the listing options so
that you don't forget and we'll send you another email a few days
before we make the change to remind you again.

Not swapitshop. If every point was worth £1 then people would't just have like 3,000 swapits. Now adays its quite easy to get that. So in a few days you would get £3,000. So use your common sence!
