This really should be in debates and discussions section. If a mod could please move.

If you knew what royal wanted to do to these workers, compulsory unpaid overtime, covering staff off sick or on holiday for free, work five years longer till they can retire, higher pension contributions to pay back money Royal Mail never paid in, and the loss of early start allowances and door to door items meaning a pay cut of around £50 to £60 pound a week and all this for doing more work. Then maybe as a member of the public you would support them.
Remember in Royal Mail's own words they only care about the business customer not joe public, which in my mind is a disgrace for a company that should be there to serve the Great British Public.

Another good question to ask, is if there is no more money for workers then why has Royal Mail paid all managers a bonus of £3000 because hey have reached there targets. Surely if the managers have reached targets then the workers have to. But still no bonus has been paid to the workers who do most of the work.

So, although it is a pain in the backside, and an inconvenience, I still back the posties.
please bear in mind that most of you are still at school, and have NO idea what the actual working world is about, and do not have bilss to pay etc, and therfore do not face nor have faced, any of the problems the posties are facing.
Yes, they are losing monet by going on strike, but they are fighting for what they believe is right.

Let me put it another way. How many of you do a paper round? Now, those of you tthat do one, imagine if you were told to do more work, over longer hours, and take a pay cut to do it. Would you not be unhappy?
Yes, you say, but they should change jobs if they are not happy.
Well, that is not so easy either. That said, most of the posties love their jobs, but just want to be treated fairly, and get a fair wage for doing a decent days work.

Well, look on the bright side. Postman Pat has not gone on strike

I agree with some of what Cuddleyewok said..

But most of the time when we have strikes in our town (we have them more than anywhere else, trust me), its mostly about some stupid COMMUNITY that they like to call themselves. This means that if one person gets fired, or has a paycut, or something like that, ALL of them seem to think they should stand up to Royal Mail! So everytime someone is fired, we are without post for another fricking week! Its just selfish, they only seem to think about themselves, and no one else. A few days is alright once in a while, but when its a week its just ridiculous! People have important stuff to post and sometimes it cant be delayed for a week! They just need to think about it instead of trying to get more money.

They've done it so many times, you would have thought they get what they want? But probably not, so why do they keep doing it? Whats the point if they're still not satisfied? Its just getting stupid. Ok, maybe they dont get enough money, so why work there then? If it were me i either wouldnt have got a job there in the first place, or would have quit it by now!

I Can Understand Why They Are On Strike, But I Just Find It Annoying Because Sending And Receiving Stuff Has Become A Real Annoyance, But I Guess Anyone Would Protest/Go On Strike Whatever The Businesses! There Are Other Postal Services Part From Royail Mail Anyway Just Cost More And Not Near Me

im getting really frustrated with royal mail constantly going on strike they are jusy a bunch a greed gits.

thanks to them i have been left negative feedback on a few occasions on ebay due to payments getting delayed in the postal system!!
