How many stamps did you include with it?

An Ipod sock will count as a Large Letter up to 100g, so you need 40p of stamps with it for 2nd class

Yeah same here maybe becuase SwapitShop dont find your stamps make sure you put them on back of the package, and make sure its the same amount of stamps that yous net the item with!
StacFace

It's never happened to me but I've heard of it happening.

If you know that you sent enough forwarding stamps then ring them up and tell them that you will be not sending any more stamps as you included enough with your swap and tell them exactly whereabouts you put them so they can double check, they always give in eventually.

If you didn't, then you'll have to post the amount you need to send. They should have sent you an e-mail to tell you how much you are missing off the postage cost so that you know what stamps to buy.

They seem to be doing this a lot lately to many people - very strange, when it seems, everyone IS actually including the fwd. stamps (have read a few posts from different people lately, on here, all saying they definitely sent them)

To make sure mine don't go astray or get lost (or pinched!) I always actually stick the fwd stamps top right, on the actual envelope containing the swap.
As I usually send a few swaps all together to SwapitShop, i measure and weigh each swap to work out postage) then I put each swap, individually in its own sending on envelope, with swap number and my Member number, the correct amount of postage stuck on the envelope (top right) seal the envelopes and then put all the individual swap envelopes inside either one bigger envelope or a padded envelope/mail bag etc. whatever is needed. I write my member number and all the swap numbers (and also write " Total amount of swaps in here ?" (the question mark being the amount of swaps I have enclosed) down near the bottom of the main envelope, from left to right.

That way, they can check the contents and amount of swaps, with the info on front of main envelope, easily, also, there are no loose stamps inside to "go missing" (and I definitely would not stick all fwd stamps to back of main package) and each item is ready for them to slap the labels on and send out to winners (and far as I know, mostly they never bother opening each individual swap to check its contents, though maybe they might, or at least some of them)

I have never been asked to send fwd'ing stamps.

A little note:- a 2nd class large stamp is 42p (and a 1st class large stamp is 52p)

Ooo, didnt know 2nd class large ws 42p, I always thought it was 40! Mhmmm

Also, I do the same as you everhopeful, I package everything up, and put it inside one big package, as it also saves postage!!

You dont need to write all the transaction numbers on the front though, aslong as there on each individual package its okay.. I sometimes have packages with between 40-60 swaps inside, and I just write 'transaction number: inside' on the front lol.. sometimes I dont even write my member number or transaction number on the outside at all.... aslong as I put them all on the inside packages its okay..

They will open it to check them anyway
