Vivisection isn't testing on animals, it's like a dissection but when the organism is still alive.

Dissection is when you cut animals apart.
Testing could be injecting them with stuf...

to be fair it is wrong but if they didnt they would test on humans and poor people would do it for money and they could endup with terrible side affects and even things that could be past on so what would you rather have.
put it this way pretty much any of the major medicenes used today will have been tested that way in the beginning so you just say you dont like it next time your ill or your family or freind have a disease or illness curable by those drugs
its fine moaning about it when you don't atually know how it works and how it helps and how the animals are actually treated.
if it wernt for it then we'd be decades possibly centuries behind in medicine and a lot of terrible virus's and diseases would'nt have benn cured and you may not be here right now.
lets just remember that this isnt a new thing its been going on for centuries, its just people are a lot more informed but not to a point where they can actyually understand the whole situation plus theres people who just like having a moan.

 Vivisection is cutting something in half for scientific examination, nothing to do with testing on animals. How would cutting something in half help test if a shampoo is bad for your skin etc.?
I'm totally for animal testing for medicines. I did a debate on it in English, and found that there are loads of laws protecting lab animals from unecessary suffering. Everyone's so hypocritical - "medicine shouldn't be tested on animals... oh, unless it's my life that the medicine would save".
People say you can test using computer models, or tissue samples, but it's the random factors that require testing and you can't predict these with a computer. Neither can you measure factors such as blood pressure in tissue samples.
On the other hand, testing for cosmetic reasons is barbaric. I say the people who want to use these products should test them on themselves.
Oh, and about "like a 0.2% success rate"... would you rather that 998 out of every 1000 people testing the medicine or product die?

i agree with jack on lab testing.. heres the situation uve band lab testing and ure mum gets cancer she could be saved by a drug but they havnt done it case they couldnt test it.. to be honest humans first ino its selfish but hummans > all
