Year 9 Sats!Do any of you have any sats?
I am in year 9. I have so far done maths,english & I am doing science on friday.
Anyone else doing sats?

I've got my Year 10 GCSE's for Science, Maths,French,English,Photography and I.T. They start next week after Year 9's at my school do there SATS

to be honest they mean squat...
Same as GCSEs really...

Sat's are for the league tables.
But I admit, they're killing me at the moment. So exhausted.

Sats are just for your Teachers to guage how you're learning and to submit data to the government.
GCSE's are the first qualifications that actually "Mean" anything, employers will look at them etc.
A levels are the main qualification that count for anything though, if you go on to do them GCSE's also become worthless.

Just to add on to what squid has said, they also CAN determine how you do in your GSCE's, get a low enough level and you'll be in a lower set next year, restricting your highest grade, but that's the only thing that you should worry about, and even that isn't something to worry about!
Anyway, yeah, glad they're over. I think I've done quite well on everything apart from my Short Writing. ^^;;;

i had
tues= maths tier 6-8 (2 papers)
wed= english reading paper tier 4-7
thurs = englisah writing and shakespeare
fri = science tier 5-7

Everyone has the exact same maths time table, just different tiers.

Maths was really hard! English was okay- wrote some corny stuff for the writing paper :S
The science was easy peasy though!
