check www.royalmail.com/update
After lengthy negotiation we are very disappointed that the Communication Workers Union (CWU) has announced more strike action starting on Monday 15th and ending on Friday 19th October. This action will take place at different Royal Mail sites across the country at different times.
Mail Centres will be on 24-hour official strike from early evening on Monday 15th October, and separate Delivery Offices will be on 24-hour official strike from the early hours of Tuesday 16th October. Therefore Deliveries and Collections will be severely limited on Tuesday 16th October.
Network drivers will be on 24-hour official strike from lunchtime on Wednesday 17th October, which will delay the movement of mail across the country.
Manual Data Entry Centres will be on 24-hour official strike from lunchtime on Thursday 18th October. This affects small volumes of hand-written, stamped mail only.
The Heathrow International Distribution Centre will be on 24-hour official strike from the afternoon of Thursday 18th October, and this will affect International mailings.
We are very disappointed to report that our colleagues in areas of London and Liverpool are currently taking unofficial strike action, which may be followed in other parts of the country. This will inevitably lengthen our recovery period, and customers can expect further delays to mail collection and delivery services in these areas. Please call our customer service Helplines - 08457 950 950 for Business customers and 08457 740 740 for residential customers - for more details. _________________

Dont forget you can also send 1 envelope special "next day" (or in 2-3 days due to strike) for £4.30 a letter, ripoff
When these strikes are over, the postmen arent going to be happy, they'll probably go on strike due to all the post they have to carry jk

Yeah they probably will
Or when Royal mail announce they have gone bust due to all the strikes so they wont be able to pay anyone, they'll go on strike again _________________

it says on site now
Settlement Agreed Saturday 13th October Update
Royal Mail is pleased to report that negotiations with the Communications Workers Union (CWU) have been successful and a settlement has now been reached.
We apologise for the disruption and inconvenience the strikes have caused, and thank you for your ongoing patience through this difficult time.
We are now working hard to return to normal as quickly as possible, but there is a significant build-up of mail that will take some time to clear. We will deal with all mail in the order in which we received it, and will re-instate all service guarantees and promises as soon as we are able to honour them.
Unofficial strike action
However we are very disappointed to report that some colleagues are currently taking unofficial strike action, in several parts of the country, which will inevitably lenghten our recovery period, and affect services in these areas. Please call our customer service helpline - 08457 950 950 for business customers and 08457 740 740 for residential customers - for the latest details. _________________ <
