After some successful ‘Mod For A Day’ trials, the SSL team have decided to open the Moderator Applications for the first time (Yxz was picked without apps)

Simply post your application below, by following these simple instructions:

1) Post why you would be good as mod, and how you would help improve the forum.

2) Post whether you’ve been a mod before.

Remember you must only apply if you're willing to give up some of your free time to Mod the forum

And try not to comment on other people’s apps

We could always sack you if you don’t do your job

Hello, my name is Hiren, and i think i should be a moderator on this forum because of many reasons. Well first of all, i have lots of experience on managing forums. I was a moderator on www.sportsheaven.org which had almost 20,000 members. This website is now close because of the admin, as he had personal problems. I also owned my own forum which lasted for a good year, then i shut it down because i had exams. At the moment, i am a moderator for http://manunitedfansforum.myfanforum.org and im doing very good at this. Another reason is because i have clear, and fluent english skills. I think this is very important to have because if you dont have good english skills, then you will not be able to communicate with the members as well and you would not be able to explain things to members if they are stuck as properly. I am online most of the time so i would be able to manage the forum very well and look after it carefully. I am also very passionate about what i do and when i do it. I am a gold star swapper on swapitshop, which proves i am honest on what i say. I know my punctuation and spellings properly aswell. Also, although i am not a moderator, i still never use text language on forums as never will.

Overall, i am a very friendly and caring person. Who looks after what he has to do and is very responsible. I like to help people and will make sure that if somebody is stuck and doesnt understand something, i will explain it to them over and over again until they understand fully. Also, i am very patient. I think this is important because if you are not patient then when somebody asks you to help them, you will get angry and not respond to them. Thank you for reading my application.

Hey there, my name is Mohammed Alfasi and I am posting here to apply and be a moderator on this forum. I have had lots of experience in moderating but I would first like to say why I would want to have been one anyway.

I use correct puntuation and alternative words to make my posts more attractive and interesting. I try and help others as fully as possible to create a welcoming place in this forum. I always make constructive posts, critisize and congratulate when needed. People moan about people not getting back to PM's, but that problem won't happen to me as I am usually free on the internet just dossing around, so rely on me when wanting me to PM back.

Also, I don't tolerate arguments, swearing and spamming which means you probably wont see any as I would have sweeped them before you get there.
I would think I am suitable for this job as I am usually active on the forum.

A site I have moderated in:

Zelda Forums - I decided to stop moderating the forum last year since I had to revise for my SAT's, I then went on holiday so moderating a forum at that time wasn't suitable.

I have been asked to moderate in other forums but couldn't be bothered as they were quite small.

I would like to be a moderator on this fourm I have been a moderator on the gadget lounge alongside Eddie and we worked very well together for along time... I am on the forum at times when Moderator/admins and other Big forum posters are not online so i could help and moderate newbies who have joined when other people are not online I useually use good English and always make constructive posts.. I am on SSL every evening for well over an hour and a half and on every holiday morning and evening... I am not very active on other SS forums so i can devote my SS knowedge and experience to newbies on our forum, and ours alone... If i see spammers / spam i will delete it and ban the member. I can come up with great ideas and expand on them greatly, however i cannot put them into action, as i am not very Computer literate ( i might as well be honest) But i think the admins are

I would try and have a go at doing my spelling very carufully and stuff like that also i can revome or move spam posts and give warning to members that are doing wrong on the forum.

I hav't been a mod before but eddie you know that i run a forum called Chat-About-Ebay and its going well i have banned certain members because they where swearing and spamming and i would do that here.Also i would spend a lot more time on here as well.

I know you will not pick me but its worth a shot personal if i was you eddie i might pick Nadeem but since you are the admin its not my choice and its up to you and that is only my option so what ever you choose i hope you pick carefully

Well my name is Nauman Shaheen I Have Just Joined This Forum but I think it Is Fantastic. I think I would Be a Very good choice to make me a moderator because I have good knowledge of how many forums work I Am a Mod on two other Forums. I would be dedicated to the job I have a lot of Free times On my hand So I would be on The forum most Of the Time. I also have a very good knowledge of how Swapitshop works so if any New members have problems With Swapitshop i have constructed a file with everything to do with Swapitshop....e.g Posting, Forwarding Stamps, Questions, New Name, Swap Not Received I Would be glad to help anyone . I Am also a very good writer of English So if I have to make a point across to someone I Would Do it Clearly and Quickly. I Also Would love to get more people onto this forum I have started to put adverts Of SSL in my packages, so When people receive my swaps they will hopefully Join SSL. Also on other forums I am on I will also have our logo in my sig and try to persuade people to try and join. I am extremely computer literate and can do anything you want on the computer I have full knowledge off BBCode so if any newbie has a problem with that I Would be a great hand. I am a very good believer in rules and would put them into action.

I am a Kind friendly person and i think I would Very much Enjoy being a mod on this forum. I know my Post Count Isn't much but i feel that i would be a wonderful input to OUR forum.

Before you think, "oh, that guy hasnt made any posts, so he obviously hasnt made much of a contribution to ssl" i just gotta say, that if i was mod, you wouldnt need to worry about posts, because i've made about 15,000 on myfreeforums, so you can tell im on A LOT

Ok, So, im Robin, im nearly 14, i know a lot about swapitshop, as i've been a member for about a year and a half or so now My rating is perfect, with almost 200 rating. Im pretty sure i'll use Swapitshop for several more years to come. So Im here to give advice and point people in the right direction.
I've been a mod on tons of other pretty successful forums, so i know my stuff And of course i'll always be on the look out for spam etc, which makes me a good person to have around, not to mention im always in a good mood and always up for a laugh.
I always try to make my posts as constructive as possible, because the kind of people that just post "lol" or "good deal" or whatever just, well, shouldnt My spelling and punctuation are excellent, i never use text talk, as ita almost impossible to read, and of course shouldnt be used by a Mod

Overall, i think i am a very friendly person, who can help out, be on when other moderators arent on, and generally just help!! i would absolutely love to be a moderator, as i've always been disappointed not to get the place on a couple of other big Swapitshop forums, so if you pick me i assure you you wont be disappointed.
