Omg, You talk so much c***, how the hell would re installing IE help him get rid of the virus? And you seriously need to go to school more often to see if you can learn to spell.

Lmao.
Considering the virus is on his computer, not on internet explorer, kieran has a valid point lol..
Sorry I cant really be of much help Yoshi, make sure you follow everything completely what people are suggesting and not skip stages (just incase somethings long, best to do it fully to make sure you get rid of it).
Good luck and hope you get it fixed soon!
www.wikipedia.org is also good for some things, maybe do a search on there.

Google the Virus' name. Symantec or Norton will most likely have a free patch. If not buy a decent antiviral software, if that dont work backup any neccesary files and re-install Windows.
Oh and in future dont go on dodgy pr0n/rom/video sites and you wont get virus'. Or get Mac - viral free. _________________ bounce with me.

This is the last thing i can think of, and may very well take you a while to do but if it fixes it it's worth it.
In the Control Panel, double-click Network and Dial-up Connections.
Right-click the interface you use to access the Internet, and then click Properties.
In the Components checked are used by this connection box, click Internet Protocol (TCP/IP), and then click Properties.
In the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) Properties dialog box, click Advanced.
Click the Options tab, then click TCP/IP filtering, and then click Properties.
Select the Enable TCP/IP Filtering (All adapters) check box.
There are three columns with the following labels:
TCP Ports
UDP Ports
IP Protocols
In each column, you must select the Permit Only option. Click OK when done.
Now the link i sent you earlier, try installing it now. Here it is again
http://download.microsoft.com/dow...01/WindowsXP-KB823980-x86-ENU.exe
If you manage to install the patch this time, try using this removal tool.
http://download.nai.com/products/mcafee-avert/stng260.exe
If this doesn't work i don't know what else to suggest really, other than reinstall windows off of a boot CD.

Thanks, only thing really left to suggest would be to reinstall windows. Or if you don't want to lose all your programs and files I'd take it to a technician.
Hope you get it fixed soon!
