We all know that smoking is addictive; believe it or not for some people trying just 1 cigarette can lead them on to a life of smoking. Many people start smoking, then decide they want to quit, but find they cannot. They continuously ‘put off’ giving it up, forever saying.. “I’ll give up in a couple of weeks or so”, but in many cases, this never happens! Some do give up eventually. But did you know that if you smoke for 15 years (that could be from when you’re a young naïve 12 year old to when you finally find the will power to quit when your 27), the damage is already done. Many people think that if they smoke for a bit, then give up, that they’ll be alright.. but did you know that if you smoke for a period of time (could be just 15 years) then give up.. your chances of getting all these ‘smoking related illnesses’ are EXACTLY the same as when you were smoking. So why even start in the first place? If you start smoking.. you’ll be scard with the effects of it FOR LIFE... and that is no lie. Obviously, if you give up, (instead of carrying on smoking) the chances of you getting majorly ill will be lower. But don’t think that you’ll suddenly be alright again after you quit.. because you won’t.. the effects stick with you forever. So don’t you think this is the perfect explanation never to even start in the first place? Of course, if you do smoke.. you should give up as soon as possible as the longer you smoke the more you are worsening your condition and putting (in many cases) YOUR LIFE in jeopardy.

• If you have just 1 pack of cigarettes a day, it will cost you an outstanding total of £1638 a year. Think of what you could spend that money on!
• On average smoking kills 5 MILLION people a year and causes 400000 premature deaths a year.
• Smoking makes you gain weight and become out of shape
• Smoking causes lung/throat/mouth cancers and heart desiese, nearly all smokers end up having at least 1 serious illness due to smoking in their lifetime. Think of ho painfull all of these must be!
• The average smoker DIES 13-14 years before the average non smoker
• The deaths by smoking are greater than the deaths by: aids, alcohol, motor vehicle accidents, homicide, drug abuse and suicide all put together! See here:

Really the solution to all these problems is to never start in the first place!!
Oh yeah and i just wanted to add.. lots of people think it's better for you to smoke weed, (it's actually worse) It can still give you lung cancer and all the rest ect.. because your still inhaling all the smoke.. it also leads to mental issues and paranoia.

Because i just don't understand why you'd do it.
It has been proven that every cigarette you smoke knocks time off your life.. so if you think about it.. your killing yourself. It's like suicide, but instead of dying quick.. dying a long (and normally) quite painful death.
