Here are a few rules that should keep your account safe from scammers and hackers. Just follow them and you'll be fine.
1) Never give out your password. Don't even give it to mates because you could have an argument and they could spend your 100Ks lol. It's not just your password though, don't give out any of your accounts details because if they have enough they can contact swapitshop pretending to be you and pretending they forgot their password. Just because someone has a @swapitshop.com adress it doesn't necessarily mean they are swapitshop, they could still be hackers/scammers. They can be bought and their is even a way to get them free aswell now so don't be tricked.
2) MSN - we all like to talk to mates on it and that's fine but just be careful. NEVER accept files that have been sent to you by untrusted swapitshop swappers. They might pretend to be sending you a song, or free swapits or something but there's a chance it could be a keylogger which basically means they can moniter all your key strokes. So not only will they be able to get into all your current and future swapitshop accounts but they can also get important information like bank details. I'm sure your parents wouldn't appreciate that. The same goes with e-mails. Never open an e-mail if you don't know/trust the person it's from. You can also pick up these keyloggers from websites so only use safe/secure ones.
3) Have a strong password. Make sure it includes letters, numbers and symbols. Make it a complete made up word aswell so it's extremely unlikely anyone will guess it for example "5645fds*$#7gfh*(%^)." It's good to have it quite long aswell.
So, to sum up.
DON'T TELL ANYONE YOUR ACCOUNT DETAILS.
DON'T ACCEPT FILES OVER MSN OR OPEN E-MAILS FROM UNTRUSTED SWAPPERS.
HAVE A SUPER STRONG PASSWORD.
