You can only delete a post if it is the last post made in a thread, once you post again or another person posts in the thread then you can only edit the post.
So that you know in the future, if you want to delete and nobody has posted after you yet then in the top right hand corner there will be an orange square with a black 'x', click this to delete your post.
After another post has been made you can only click the 'edit' button and change your post.
