I'm a bit of both.
It's good because it means that people don't get picked on for not wearing designer stuff, it's cheaper than designer stuff, if you do anything outside of school where you need to dress smart you could use your school trousers & shirt and depending whether it looks like a normal tie or is obviously a school one maybe that too, it would be easier for students to skip school if in normal clothes.
However, it can be more expensive than normal clothes if the school is really strict on what is & isn't acceptable, chances are you won't wear it outside school, not letting students express their own personality, restricts students from being themselves, more easily identified on school trips if you get lost.
I personally hated my school uniform up until they changed it for upper school towards the end of my time in year 11. It used to be red tie, shirt tucked in, men's blazers etc. and they changed it to fitted shirt, fitted blazers etc. for girls and same but non-fitted for boys with a different pattern on the ties/neckscarfs. Hated the old one, and when they had a monopoly on it they used to moan when we didn't buy the uniforms from them because they were charging more than double the shops in town where, but it's illegal for the school to do that now anyway (although it still takes a ton of arguing with them before they give up, so most parents think they have to pay the high prices).
But anyway, none of that matters now because I'm sixth form, and enjoy not being in uniform anymore although I do find myself wanting more new clothes more often as I'm wearing my normal clothes more as they're not just for weekends and school hols now.

Yeahh, i wear school uniform but my school uniform ant bad compared to others, others have to wear ties, blazers and stuff like that.
I have to wear a light blue polo top with the badge on it, a redy purple jumper, which i dont think looks very nice, black trousers or skirt and black shoes.
I dont think that the school uniform suits girls though and looks better on boys.
I think that we should have a choice to wear uniform or not, its really to impress people who inspect the school and vistors, also it may get some people stressed, choosing the right nice outfit.
I had to do a persuasive letter last year at school, about school uniform, but i cant remember now lol.
Sorry. _________________ [[ScribbleBack]]
