Well i hope you are all looking forward to the new idea we are planning on releasing very soon that Yxz has been mentioning because im about to explain what it is
As you have noticed we are adding new items to the Shop and an idea arose - We will have some
Limited Edition Items...
(If i say LE i mean Limited Edition)
What this is:
Well in short it is seasonal and random items that will be made available in the shop for limited periods of time. These items will only be available for the time allocated and will never be re-released. The items will be unique items and not everyday ones like the current shop items, the items will be random but entertaining/funny.
Extras:
If it proves to be a success then hopefully people will become collectors and maybe start trading etc and Tokens will have a more useful reason to save. Most people think that they are worthless and in truth they are but wouldnt it be cool to have some LE items that only a few people have?
LE items:
Limited Edition items will be random and they will be released in 1s or 2s, if released in 2 then 1 of the items will be cheap and the other expensive. 1s will be moderatly priced depending on how popular it may be.
Seasonal Items:
Self explanatory really. Christmas comes and we will release a christmas item for a few weeks around Xmas. These wont be as rare as the LE items because these will be cheaper and will be available for a longer period of time
Collections:
We may introduce similar items that you will be able to collect like a set of something.
over time.
Time Available for (usually):
LE items = 24hours/Weekend
Seasonal Items = Weeks around the time.
Collections = Will be classed as a LE item
Note about Seasonal Items...
We will mainly be doing the celelbrations that the majority celebrate BUT in no way is this prejudice against a religion and/or culture. If you would like a certain celebration to be a Seasonal item then make a post in Shop and if enough people agree then we will ask for Pics that we can use from the topic starter.
Basically you older members will have these luxury items and if a new member wants to start collecting then they will offer you a high price for one etc. Profit can be made if you think like a businessman. Maximum allowed of each LE item is 2 so you can buy one to sell if you can afford.
This is a privelage to the members who have been here for a long time and it is a good reason to save tokens.
We will probably announce when a new item is coming a week before so that you dont spend your tokens on something and regret it.
Some items will be more popular than others and when selling it they will be in effect more expensive. Traders will get to know which will be most popular
First Item will be announced Sataurday 11am and Will be available at 12 Noon (Midday).
Check out the 'If you could have 1 item'post in the virtual shop subsection for your chance to suggest an item and win 5k tokens. - But the items we are looking for are unique (Cant stress this enough) and weird in a way. We dont want a car we want a pink hat etc something wacky but wonderfull.

An example of this system used is Runescape. A cracker is worth like billions as its such an old and rare item. A collection example is the party hats (different colours worth diffrent amounts)
