I bought a memory stick off a new swapper and a message from the post office has come throught the door saying that i have to pay £2.15 postage and come and collect it from the post office in halifax. So now i have to go and get the bus to halifax, pay extra postage and bus fair to go pick it up.
not fair! _________________

Bad luck aStarHasFallen -
I've had that happen to me once, and let it go, just paid the (£1.06 - 6p for the actual extra postage and £1 for RM's handling charge!) extra, but if it ever happens again, I will contact SwapitShop. I am not going to be out of pocket for someone else's stupidity/ignorance!
If I were you I would take a pic of the card Royal Mail will have left you, which shows the extra postage you have to pay, and contact SwapitShop about it (I would phone them first to explain then e-mail if needed)
They could maybe, give you compensation in swapits, for the extra cost to you AND contact the stupid seller, warn and give minuses maybe, or at least take some of the sellers swapits off, for the inconvenience etc. and then it might make them do things properly in future?
Yes Thecookiemaster - agreed - it really annoys me also, that people seem to think they can send ANYTHING with just one 1st or 2nd class stamp.
How hard is it to just read the "Posting Swaps" page of the SwapitShop Help section (*BELOW*)
and refer to the postage Chart, weigh and measure your item and buy the correct amount of postage, when sending in swaps?

email them or ring them if you want a quicker response, and they will send you the stamps (plus tell them you had to pay for a bus ride) ive had this happen sooooo many times, im sick of having to go pick up thick parcels with a 2nd class stamp on them. _________________ Pokemon Games Will Pay

Thank you all for your helpful responses! Karma added!
i picked it up today, it was a usb stick and it had only 1 second class stamp stuck on the front, none on the back or anything... this new swapper obviously doesn't have a clue about posting!
Have emailed swapitshop a couple of days ago, however they are not replying..
I suppose i'm kind of lucky, this is only the first time i've had to pay extra postage.
Thank you everyone! _________________

The seller was someone called mattie
It was a good price for the memory stick - 590 swapits but still.. 1 second class stamp on the front and none on the back, pretty clueless! _________________
