ok so we have clip on ties and your meant to have them at the top button which feels like your being strangled i hate it and me and my friens put it on the button down from that but our headteacher if she sees you shell give you like a proper 10 min lecture but then i leave it down anyway its so anoyin!

yh, at my school its colors.

Your not alowed to have them up or in they have to be out and bent downwards.

nobody listens to that rule and so on our way into class rooms the teacher tells like everyone "color out!" "color down!" etc

i'm going into year 10 this year, and we've had ties since year 7 and its like dead strict and stuff but no-one will wear teir ties how the teachers want them (small and high!) we just make them really fat and loose so they hang down beneath our collars, and the teachers hve got fed up of trying! So now they've brougt out velcro ties (like your clip on ones!) hehe it's really funny all the little year 7's come in lucking soooo funny. W stick with our old one's as we can do them how we like and they can't make us all buy velcro one's tehe

yeah yr 7 and 8 in my school have clip ons =)

 I love being a sixth-former.

Years 7 - 11 at my school are now recieving detentions for that sort of thing, I remember there being like 5 people at a time on detention when I was in year 11, I had to walk over to main school to go to the management office on Friday and the playground was crowded with people, I bet most of them were for uniform, they had more teachers on detention duty supervising than they had students in detention last year.

My sisters moan about it and it's fun to wind them up about it, but when you're older if you have to wear a uniform they won't accept ties worn fat and short so you may aswell get used to it now.

And yes I was the one who actually did wear their uniform properly.
