they used to do this years back and went bankrupt
they got taken over by webswappers and it has been a huge succesful business ever since | Well if theyre huge and successful now, it will be easier to check. For instance, if they checked swaps properly and didnt let through things like 'Empty Envelope(wich is da nvelope i used 2 send dis)' Then they would have to pay less P&P, its not like they cant afford it. They Pay for postage in the frenzies as well.

I like the idea but I've just re-read through that and you say that postage is not worth it for things like pieces of paper and elastic bands... but do SwapitShop really want to encourage this? If you think about it people selling pieces of paper and elastic bands in singles aren't encouraging new members as they think you can't swap your stuff for anything decent and having free postage either one-way or both may encourage more people to put on worthless swaps which could discourage people from swapping stuff that is worth anything as they can just swap tons of pieces of paper and get to a high swapits level anyway without that method costing them loads in postage. Eventually there would probably just be worthless stuff on the site.
The postage does annoy me a bit so I just make sure that I only sell things that are worth it... and when I think about it I only ever bid on stuff which I would buy from shops if I didn't get it within a certain amount of time from Swapitshop so I would rather pay for a stamp and swap something I'd never use than buy it from a shop if I can.
Example: I swapped a book for 750 Swapits which I was never going to read, and bought a top for 501 Swapits and a lip balm for 61 Swapits from a frenzy so that was a good deal for me. Without SwapitShop I would have probably sold the book at a car boot for 10p (or attempted to) and then spent at least £1 on lip balm or lip conditioner alone which I really needed.
So now after thinking about it although I would rather postage wasn't there, I definetely wouldn't want it to be a freepost address. Not needing to put extra stamps on the back could be an in-between compromise though as you are still paying for one lot of postage.

i thinks SwapitShop would be able to do this...
think about it...
so many companies do free post..im not sure how much it would be...maybe £10,000 a year or something...but it would apeal to so many more people and so many more swappers wold join SwapitShop and be able to see/click adverts, meaning SwapitShop could charge more for advertising in order to make up the money. _________________ search:muller123454

this whould just incourage scammers as there'd be nothing to lose as they could post paper and boxes without paying so this is a bad idea plus what whould you rather have a little cost on postage or a bankrupt swapitshop therefore nothing to post anyway.
