why does the friends link always lead me to my home page?

You can choose different ones.

Like in the link selection page there's ones that take you to certain swapzones etc etc.

oh ok! thanks! but when people say they clicked my link, no swapits show up in my thingy where you see how many clicks

That's because the friends links aren't working at the minute, some people have complained but they still don't work.

You could try contacting them if you want as the more that do the more likely they are to get them working again soon.
